Biography
It all started in the fall of 2007. Starting off as yet another side project, Kyle Drake and Danny Miles starting getting together and playing some songs that Kyle had written over the past few months in a cold, stale smelling basement in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Miles was currently in numerous different line-ups at the time, but agreed to play alongside long-time friend Drake to get things going. After a few short-time bass players went through they finally stumbled upon Brendan Hansen which completed the line up for now, but once they got a few songs under their belts it was time to add a new member. Since Hansen and Miles played in the same band the winter past (Stolen Saints) they decided to recruit Andy Keith, who was also in Stolen Saints to play lead guitar. With just over 15 shows played to date, a recent demo completed and a high paced, energetic, dance-able live show, the band is hitting the Maritimes by storm.

“When the music starts the euphoria rubs off on the audience, faces turn up like smiling flowers to the sun and bodies sway in the breeze of the melodies. Listening to The Meds may be like popping a happy-pill… Their unique brand of feel-good indie rock fits well into the Charlottetown music scene without being redundant.”
